Description :	Un des 4 petits panneaux décoratifs entre les croisés de la paroi ouest de la salle. Il fait partie d'un ensemble de 11 panneaux peints sur toile marouflée.

Historique :	Ce décor est commandé en 1919 par le département de la Seine à Alphonse Osbert, peintre né le 23 mars 1857 à Paris et mort en 1939. Elève de Lehmann, Cormon et Bonnat, il voyagea en Espagne où il étudia Ribera et Velasquez qui influencèrent ses premières toiles, avant de devenir l'ami de Seurat et de s'intéresser aux effets de la lumière. Il fit des envois au Salon de 1880 à 1922 et exécuta des panneaux décoratifs à Vichy. (Source : Bénézit, tome 8.)
