Historique :	Louis-Abel Truchet, connu sous le nom d'artiste d'Abel-Truchet est né à Versailles le 29 décembre 1857 et mort le 9 septembre 1918 à Auxerre. Élève de Benjamin Constant et de Jules Lefebvre à l'Académie Julian, il réalisa de nombreuses toiles de la vie parisienne nocturne autour de 1900, des paysages et des scènes de genre. Il fut décoré de la Légion d'honneur en 1911.
